We are seeking an IT Systems Engineer who will own the global virtual lab in an on-premises and cloud based environments for Forcepoint technical staffs across the organization. The IT Systems Engineer will be part of Forcepoint Technical Learning Services Organization as part of a growing, global team of technical course developers and trainers delivering modern and engaging training across multiple delivery modalities.  In your role, you will build, provision, troubleshoot and maintain Forcepoint product and training lab environments.  Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Technical Delivery, you will collaborate with Forcepoint training developers, Technical Trainers, Professional Services and Technical Support to support multi-departmental strategies and initiatives.

Key Performance Areas

  • Align the Forcepoint “Human Point” strategy within the delivery of training to ensure that students understand how the Human Point strategy is realized in our products and solutions  
  • Build knowledge of, and stay current in Forcepoint products and solutions, and associated offerings
  • Provision and configuration of on-premises and cloud based lab environments
  • Management and Administration of an Embotics vCommander installation
  • Automate administrative activities using vCommander workflows
  • Provide Monitoring and maintenance to VMWARE vCenter Systems
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to provide a functional virtual lab for each Technical Course
  • Maintain lab documentation
  • Lab descriptions, diagrams and processes
  • Manage multiple Virtual Lab configurations at a time to meet deadlines and rapid development
  • Troubleshoot virtual lab issues, on-premises and Cloud based labsPerform other duties and projects as assigned
  • Bachelor Degree in Technical Education or technical disciplines (computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics)
  • Proven expertise with provisioning, configuring and running cloud computing resources i.e. AWS, Ready Tech Systems
  • Experience in working with complex Software; Forcepoint software is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability in intermediate Networking and Systems Security concepts
  • Intermediate experience with the Linux Operating System
  • Proven expertise in installing, configuring and deploying Windows Server Operating Systems
  • Strong knowledge in Server based Roles i.e. Active Directory, File Server, Exchange
  • Experience in Systems Administration of Linux and Windows client Operating Systems
  • Knowledge in patching Operating Systems both Linux and Windows
  • Ability to effectively lead and work across functional teams internally and externally, in-person and virtually
  • Experience in Cloud system Knowledge (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS Platform) and standard methodologies is preferred
  • Strong experience in VMWARE systems, specifically vCenter and ESXi platforms
  • Experience in provisioning Virtual Machines, performing SysPrep in a multi Operating System environment
  • Adaptable to new ideas, feedback and able to find creative solutions for challenges faced with constant Forcepoint software upgrades
  • Troubleshooting skills, ability to identify networking, software or configuration issues rapidly to avoid user disruption
  • Technical certification a plus: CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, SSCP etc. or equivalent experience
